On October 18th, the BDI Space Congress will take place in Berlin (KOSMOS, Karl-Marx-Allee 131A, 10243 Berlin) from 9:30 – 20:00.
Under the theme ‚NewSpace: Germany’s Grand Opportunity,‘ you will discover why the commercialization of space exploration and its close integration with the non-space economy are becoming increasingly crucial on a global scale.
Space exploration is not only a technological marvel but also serves as the ‚Operating System‘ for a digital and sustainable industry in the era of IoT. Germany and Europe have a unique chance to play a significant role in this burgeoning sector.
Over the past years, Europe has seen the emergence of a leading NewSpace ecosystem, driven by established companies, daring entrepreneurs, and private investors. Nevertheless, the gap in capabilities, technologies, and investments between Europe, the USA, and China continues to widen. It is high time for Germany and Europe to elevate their ambitions in space exploration to safeguard and enhance their competitiveness and security.
