Itemis AG: an overview
Since its founding in 2003, itemis has established itself as a leading provider of modeling tools, development environments and other software solutions in systems and software development. Headquartered in Germany, the company offers a diverse range of products and services, including training and consulting, to help customers efficiently develop high-quality software. With offices in various countries and a dedicated team of software development experts, itemis strives to provide customers with innovative solutions and accompany them in individual development projects.
Itemis AG in the COOPERANTS project
The company is responsible for the sub-project “Semantic Collaboration Services – Backend” in the COOPERANTS project. This project aims to conceptualize and implement a data management component that facilitates collaborative work in the cloud and optimizes development processes. In doing so, GAIA-X forms the basis for the infrastructure of this backend to enable the secure exchange of company-relevant data, find partners in the COOPERANTS marketplace, and offer and reuse functionality in a standardized manner. In addition, itemis can leverage Gaia-X to enable semantic integration of data and apply the fundamentals for the development of smart services based on the GAIA-X service concept. Thus, the resulting backend serves as the basis for the development of Advanced Smart Services by the project partners.
COOPERANTS creates this added value for itemis AG
Participation in the COOPERANTS project enables itemis to transfer its expertise in toolsets and methods for managing systems engineering data to the GAIA-X ecosystem. The challenge of exchanging product and engineering data along the entire value chain is addressed by GAIA-X, especially in terms of trust and data exchange. The cooperation with the partners in the COOPERANTS project expands itemis’ solution portfolio and contributes to the further development of functions. This cooperation allows the company to further expand its expertise in systems engineering in the aerospace industry.
