"We" are:

COOPERANTS – This is a Gaia-X lighthouse project COOPERANTS (German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action #68GX21003) with the goal to  solve urgent challenges of digital collaboration in the engineering of aeronautics and space projects by creating a common data space. The central solution component of this objective is the marketplace, where services and data are offered and used to optimally support collaboration along the value chain.

The Competition

With this competition, we would like to offer the unique opportunity to present your innovative digital solutions in the aeronautics & space sector and the chance to receive significant support in onboarding your products on a future digital marketplace. Seize the opportunity and drive the digitalization of aeronautics and space with us!

Be part of a unique journey where you can share your expertise and demonstrate your innovative power in the aeronautics and space industry. With the support of experienced project partners from industry and research, you can showcase your products on our digital marketplace and benefit from exclusive networking opportunities with the industry’s major OEMs and LSIs such as Airbus and OHB. Discover the many opportunities available to you and position yourself as a pioneer in the industry by participating.

Hint: In addition to the classic and obvious interfaces to “Industry 4.0” applications in the aeronautics and space sector, many services from other areas are often also  relevant to the industry. If you are lacking active business relationships today in the aeronautics and space industry, you are welcome to join the future marketplace!

Here are a few examples of services from interdisciplinary contexts that are also relevant to the aeronautics and space sector:

  • Are you developing analysis, monitoring and optimization software for the production of industrial products in the automotive industry? Exactly such a product may be essential for the individual production of the aeronautics and space industry to ensure efficient and sustainable production in such a cost-intensive industry.
Interdisziplinarität Industrie 4.0 in der Luft- und Raumfahrtbranche
  • Do you work in the health and medical sector and offer a service for monitoring health parameters? This is also relevant for pilots and astronauts in order to guarantee a successful mission by permanently monitoring relevant data on the well-being of pilots and astronauts.
  • Are you developing planning software for electronic hardware for missions in harsh environments with extreme temperatures and pressure conditions or other extreme environmental influences (under water, (ice) deserts, etc.)? Similar planning difficulties also exist in the aeronautics and space industry, particularly in relation to space exploration.

What´s in for you

Get advice from top OEMs and LSIs in the industry and present your concept to a large audience at Space Tech Expo. You will also have the great opportunity to make valuable contacts with the major players in the aeronautics and space industry.

Receive a certificate confirming the quality and added value of your software service for the aeronautics and space industry. The evaluation is carried out by the consortium partners Airbus, OHB, DLR and other members of the Gaia-X project consortium (see at the top of this page).

Competition Procedure

First round: Submission of short concept descriptions of your products (max. 1200 words; 5 pages)

Key questions:

  • What challenges in the aeronautics and space industry does your service solve?
  • Which current customer problem does your service solve?
  • How does your service solve said challenges and problems of the industry and which technologies are used?

The guiding questions are intended only as a rough orientation. How you choose to present your product and which aspects you wish to highlight is entirely up to you in the description.

Deadline for submission: 15.09.2024

Please submit your concept description via email by contacting us at julian.hofhans@aviaspace-bremen.de.

The selected participants will be notified and invited to the second round.

Second round:

Presentation in front of a plenum and the selection jury consisting of COOPERANTS project partners (digital pitches in remote are also permitted)

Date: 19-21.11.2024 (The final date will be communicated to you)

Location: Space Tech Expo Europe, Findorffstr. 101, 28215 Bremen, Germany

Each participant will have the opportunity to present their service in front of a plenum and answer questions from the jury consisting of COOPERANTS project partners.
