- COOPERANTS consortium presents solutions in digital collaboration for high-tech hardware manufacturing at the ESA Workshop about Advanced Manufacturing
Noordwijk, 14-15 March 2023: The European Space Research and Technology Center (ESA ESTEC) in Noordwijk hosted the third workshop on Advanced Manufacturing from 14 to 15 March, 2023. Experts from all over Europe from research institutions, high-tech companies and ESA discussed in detail the future of Advanced Manufacturing in the 2-day workshop. Among other things, the focus was on current developments on the digital twin as well as digitization strategies.
The COOPERANTS consortium was represented on site by Airbus Defence & Space (Harald Eisenmann) and Fraunhofer IWU (André Seidel and Uwe Teicher). In a presentation entitled ” Cyber-Physical Manufacture of a Metallic Optical Bench Demonstrator as Possible Option for ATHENA”, the potential and concrete solutions for digital collaboration in the manufacture of high-tech hardware enabled by Gaia-X were highlighted.
The presentation met with great interest among the participants and stimulated intensive discussions. The continuous exchange with experts from research and companies will ensure the success of the consortium and develop new ideas and perspectives.
