Veles e Vents, March 12, 2025: The Gaia-X lighthouse project COOPERANTS showcased its work at the Market-X & Tech-X 2025 Conference in Valencia – a key meeting point for digital innovation and Gaia-X initiatives from across Europe. Held from March 12 to 13, 2025, at the iconic Veles e Vents venue, the event provided an ideal platform for expert exchange and international networking among companies, projects, and technology providers.
COOPERANTS presented updates on its progress in developing a Gaia-X-compliant data space for the aerospace industry. The focus was on engaging in technical dialogue with partners and stakeholders, as well as discussing key use cases for secure and interoperable data spaces in an industrial context.
A central highlight for COOPERANTS was participation in a panel discussion on the aerospace ecosystem, moderated by Roland Fadrany, COO of the Gaia-X AISBL. Representatives from Airbus, DLR, neusta aerospace, and deltaDAO discussed the core requirements for trustworthy data spaces in the aerospace sector. All participants agreed that interoperability, transparency, data continuity, and the consideration of regulatory and industry-specific frameworks – such as export control – are essential building blocks for a functioning, cross-sectoral data infrastructure. It was also emphasized that open, Gaia-X-compliant architectures are key to lowering market entry barriers for SMEs and enabling innovative, resilient collaboration across organizational and national borders.
From COOPERANTS’ perspective, the panel discussion underscored the importance of a federated, secure data ecosystem that is collectively supported and delivers tangible value for the industry.
COOPERANTS’ presence at Market-X & Tech-X 2025 highlighted the project’s significance within the Gaia-X ecosystem. It became clear that initiatives like COOPERANTS play a crucial role in establishing trusted data infrastructures in Europe and unlocking new digital value creation potential in the aerospace sector.
