Berlin, November 26-27, 2024: The Gaia-X Expo in Berlin on November 26-27, 2024, marked a pivotal moment for the Gaia-X funding projects. Over two days, the outcomes of three years of intensive work were showcased, and future perspectives were explored. COOPERANTS, one of the Gaia-X Lighthouse projects, seized the opportunity to present its platform and functionalities to an audience of experts.
On stage, Caroline Lange from DLR, the project’s consortium lead, delivered a comprehensive presentation of the COOPERANTS results. In a concise demonstration, Hauke Ernst (Airbus) highlighted the functionality of the marketplace and the platform, showcasing the project’s progress and practical value. Additionally, Caroline Lange participated in the panel discussion “Critical Infrastructure – Data Spaces and Digital Services for Crisis Prevention and Resilience”, where she emphasized the role of interoperable data spaces in addressing key industry challenges.
At the heart of COOPERANTS’ presence was a live demonstration illustrating the complete service booking process on the COOPERANTS platform, culminating in the use of the example service HOLOWORK. Attendees could directly test the service on the platform, with project partners and visitors getting hands-on experience with the HOLOWORK application.
The Gaia-X Expo provided the COOPERANTS project with an excellent opportunity to engage directly with key players in the Gaia-X ecosystem. Notable visitors included Tanja Alemany Sanchez de León, Deputy Director at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and Roland Fadrany, COO of Gaia-X AISBL, who were briefed on the advancements of COOPERANTS. During the event, the team showcased the platform and the detailed booking process of a sample service, emphasizing the project’s strategic importance for the digital transformation of the aerospace industry.
Ulrich Ahle, CEO of Gaia-X AISBL, was also updated on the latest developments in the COOPERANTS project. This exchange provided valuable insights into the importance of collaboration within the Gaia-X ecosystem and the need for joint efforts to successfully implement data-driven solutions.
The Gaia-X Expo served as a platform for exchange, innovation, and networking. It highlighted how all projects are working together toward a resilient, digitally connected future for Europe. COOPERANTS and its partners are excited to scale the progress achieved and contribute to the sustainable digital transformation of the aerospace sector.
